Someone brought in a 1994 tourer expecting to be sold a new bike. We rebuilt the wheels and replaced the drivetrain for a third of what a new one would have cost.
That's a worse day's trading and a better shop. Steel bikes from the nineties are frequently better than what the same money buys new.
