About Kindling Support Services

Kindling was started by a support coordinator who had spent six years watching participants be added to waitlists that were never going to move.

So we do one thing differently and everything else follows from it: if we cannot deliver the support you need, we say so in the first conversation and tell you who might. Our capacity is published weekly on this page. It is sometimes zero.

What we stand for

Values

Say no early. Publish what we can actually do. Send the same workers. Tell people about a change before it happens rather than after. Never claim an outcome we cannot evidence.

Our approach

The first conversation is free and is mostly us asking questions. If we are the right provider we will tell you what we can start, when, and who with. If we are not, you will leave that call with two or three names of providers who might be.

Privacy policy

Kindling Support Services collects only what it needs to do the work, keeps it for three years, and anonymises rather than deletes so the record of what happened survives the person leaving.

How to complain, and what happens next

A complaint reaches the owner the same day. You get an answer within two working days and a named person who owns it until it is closed.

Frequently asked

Are you taking new participants right now?

Our capacity is published on this page and updated every Monday. It says what we can take this week by support type, and it is honest even when the answer is nothing.

Which management types do you accept?

All three — agency managed, plan managed and self managed. We invoice the NDIA, your plan manager or you, whichever applies.

Are you a registered provider?

Yes. NDIS registration 4050041926, and you can check it on the NDIS Commission register. We hold certification for the core supports and verification for coordination.

Will I get the same support worker each time?

That is what we aim for and mostly what happens — most participants have had the same one or two workers for over a year. Over Christmas and school holidays it is harder, and we tell you in advance rather than surprising you.

What happens if it isn't working out?

Tell us and we will change the worker, no explanation needed. If it is us rather than the worker, we will help you move to another provider and hand over properly.

What the first conversation looks like

  1. 1
You tell us what's in the plan

Or send it through — we'll read it before we call.

  2. 2
We say what we can actually do

Which supports, starting when, and with whom.

  3. 3
If we can't, we say so

And give you two or three providers who might.

  4. 4
Service agreement, then a start date

Nothing begins before you've read and signed it.

They told me on the first call they weren't right for my son, and gave me two names to try. Six other providers had taken my details and gone quiet.

— Denise M., Perth
